Loan Amounts Increase in Boulder County

Thanks to Alison Kadans @ Caliber Loans for this info.  Looks like our market will continue to gain strength in 2015.  Hopefully our interest rates will stay at a steady 4.1%-4.5% as well!

The Federal Housing Financing Agency (FHFA) has announced the new Conventional Loan Limits for 2015 and the Boulder County limit has increased by $39,550 to $456,550. There are only 46 Counties in the Country that had increases and 11 of those Counties are here in Colorado. These loan limits apply to all Conventional (FHLMC/FNMA) residential mortgages and the increase goes into effect January 1, 2015.
For our Boulder County clients with 10% down, this increase means they can purchase up to $507,000 and still get the benefit of Conventional Underwriting and interest rates. As for the other Front Range Counties, I’m not sure we’ll see as big of a benefit with just a $7,350 increase ($424,350) however being on the list of only 46 Counties in the Country with increases is a testament to the strength of Colorado Real Estate.
